Dave Oshry of New Blood also said the developer of Blood West is putting the money received from Epic towards developing a new DLC - probably Endless West, releasing this year.

Commenting on the Steam sales, Tim Sweeney added the following:

Being free for a week on Epic raises awareness everywhere. Games also on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Steam, iOS, or Android, see an uplift when it's free on Epic.

Confirmed this personally. There is a Social tab now, allowing to send messages to friends even when they are offline. The messages properly sync with the desktop client too.
