Pretty sure it’s a shock and awe strategy by the author to make the term stick. And it worked.

It works to make others dismiss you and your arguments - I'll never take anyone seriously who decides to express themselves like this.

i've never heard anyone refer to those licences with that term before now, and instantly made me shy away. it's not only shock and awe, it's a shitty take that plays on right-wing talking points to reframe "wanting to be useful to others" as something sexual. it's the stupidest take i've never seen.
