jesus fucking christ

when will people start fighting back?

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (2 children)

They won’t until upper middle class college educated white people start being affected. The Vietnam War didn’t become a controversial topic with this demographic until they started drafting college students. Once they start sending wealthier native born white people to camps for voting Democrat is when the fighting will happen on a national scale.

[–] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Uhhh this dude looks white.

[–] Gloomy@mander.xyz 2 points 2 days ago

Funny, isn't it. All this time the left has yelled about those republicans who "only care about things when it affects them".

So they can't even identify the bodies. Yea that'll end well.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.social 109 points 3 days ago

It's not that they can't. It's that they don't care enough. Plus they enjoy the suffering.

oh wow. I knew IBM were involved, but it always seemed to be handwaved as "yeah we sold them some computers before we knew they were evil and had no control over what they did with them". But uhh nope. They were complicit as fuck.

Yeah sadly Coke, Ford, IBM, General Motors, IT&T, Kodak, were the biggest ones, but “line go up” regardless of human death and suffering has existed forever and only now we’ve gotten better at codifying it

And now Google are actively assisting a genocide, and firing employees who object.

[–] kautau@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Yup, same with Microsoft, Palantir (which is just pure evil from the start), etc. like I said, doesn’t matter who dies or suffers as long as line goes up

Maybe someone should start helping people hide from ICE and they can make a movie about the list in a couple years.

I want Christoph Waltz to play a role in that.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago

Ah, good old DEHOMAG.

[–] aviationeast@lemmy.world 87 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Sounds like ICE just committed fraud.

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 40 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Really that's on the very low end of what they are committing

[–] aviationeast@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Insurance companies and the IRS tend to not like fraud and have a wee bit more money and political power than the average family. But you are not wrong.

Don't worry. They'll learn a valuable lesson from the fallout from this and similar cases.

From then on, ICE will make sure their victims really are dead.

[–] misteloct@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Change my view: the greencard has become a Kennkarte for immigrants, and we are in 1938 in the Nazi Germany timeline.

[–] SonOfAntenora@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

The parallels are scary. But seriously fight back your future is at stake. I have never seen such a rise in hatred and immotivated targeting of any cultural dissent in the past few years. Now anything non trumpish is being seen as un-american, but Trump is un-american, betraying in the most vulgar way the constitution. Now even legal paying foreigners are seeing more shit. And now even Americans are seeing some shit too, and it's getting worse with palantir collecting anything personal.

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Well, one difference is that all the shirts are made in China.

I'm sure there are unreported deaths in ICE custody

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 40 points 3 days ago (2 children)

They deported him for losing his wallet.

[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

Nothing says “law and order” like shoving innocent people into unmarked cars over lost pieces of paper. /s
