Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Pretty sure this is O’Brian’s doing.
See this is why socialism / communism comes before the matter replicators and stuff!
~~I thought the replicator was one of the contributing factors?~~
I'm not a Trek connoisseur but by knowing a little about human nature it's easy to see it couldn't be. Such a technology would require resources to be invented that, in a capitalistic society, would have all but assured the slavery or destruction of civilization under the burgueoise, much like AI is doing to us now. The canon I know is limited to, like, three series, and the earliest I recall is that the technology had to be given to humans by another species.
You got me to check and you're right and I'm wrong
Eh I still have a lot to catch up to (believe it or not, I haven't yet watched Lower Decks!!!) so there's room for improvement.
That said, the fundamental problem that matter replication is basically a Terminator technology under capitalism remains.
This is a cartoon about the USA prison system isn't it?
You need more than DNA to recreate a person. Is this comic by the writers of Black Mirror's USS Callister?
