Gate of Ivrel, by CJ Cherryh, is a fantastic blend of science fiction and fantasy. Great characters, a fun world, and just so well written. I loved this book, one of my favorites of the year for sure.

Right now LibreOffice, Writer specifically. I've been getting back into writing big time over the last few months and having a dependable word processor that's not crammed with AI tools I don't want and that I know is FOSS has been great.

I love how in a year where we get great and unique movies like One Battle After Another, It Was Just an Accident, Weapons, and Caught by The Tides, Hollywood looks at them, shrugs their shoulders, and says "I don't know, another Mummy I guess?"
