If they make it work nicely on surfaces that aren't perfectly straight, you could use it while playing on the couch.
Would be particularly amazing if games support switching between modes instantly, so you could for example be playing a game, open your inventory, slap your joycon on the couch to organize your stuff w/ mouse mode, close your inventory and pick it up resuming play in joycon mode 🤯

That looks much less comfortable than the way the Lenovo Legion handles it.

...also the pessimist in me is afraid this will result in less games with gyro aiming support...

That's how they should always be: Deidcated. If I have to hit Fn+something for Play/Pause it might as well not exist

When I was buying mine full-sized was a huge leap in price from TKL, so I said fuck it, I'll get used to the damn number row!

And so I did. And now even when I have a numpad available I'm still typing with the number row.
