Not exactly?
If they make it work nicely on surfaces that aren't perfectly straight, you could use it while playing on the couch.
Would be particularly amazing if games support switching between modes instantly, so you could for example be playing a game, open your inventory, slap your joycon on the couch to organize your stuff w/ mouse mode, close your inventory and pick it up resuming play in joycon mode π€―

That looks much less comfortable than the way the Lenovo Legion handles it.
...also the pessimist in me is afraid this will result in less games with gyro aiming support...
jailbreaks and emulators
I'm afraid of the possibility the Switch 2 will be their Xbox 360 -> Xbox One moment in terms of security...
I get what it's trying to do, and helping people be more confident is great, but damn if it doesn't seem weird
I have detected bloat, you YAML merchant you! Reject complexity! Return to native packages!
Lmao
I knew they'd go this route ever since the rise of Elon/Taylor Jet Tracker. Surprised it took them this long tbh
Man, I could have all of that and still be like "Shit where do I put Building Gadget Mode Switch???"
It so pretty doe
Could always buy a external numpad and put it to the side. 90% less typos!
In love with those media keys.
That's how they should always be: Deidcated. If I have to hit Fn+something for Play/Pause it might as well not exist
When I was buying mine full-sized was a huge leap in price from TKL, so I said fuck it, I'll get used to the damn number row!
And so I did. And now even when I have a numpad available I'm still typing with the number row.
...y-yay capitalism????
For me it's always been busted both on AOSP and Miui/HyperOS...
Sounds like they should be selling an adapter of sorts for the RingCon and Leg Strap
