This is a perfect example of why our whole global economic system is so backwards. When you think about it for more than 2 seconds, an unemployment crisis makes no sense, if we have more laborers than we have jobs, that means all the work is getting done, that should be a good thing. But instead we've tied individual worth to our capacity to create value for shareholders.

I think we need to stop giving politicians power. We are far to lenient with the authorities and liberties we grant our politicians.

For starters we need to start treating campaign promises as legally binding

I've been running Vaultwarden for while, and it's great, love not relying on 3rd party for my backend.

The real answer isn't don't use email for private communication. It's like asking what's the most private way to shout into a crowded room

I've been loving the 3d printer with my 10" inch rack, got all my Unifi stuff mounted and it looks so clean.

Why, in 2026, would anyone still be paying for Plex?

I'll have to look into that, my two halves are never more than a couple feet apart, and always with LOS, so I should be able to get away with pretty low power.

It would be cool for it to also display some info, like the current layer of the keyboard, battery percentage on wireless.

It would also be neat if it could take some contextual info from the computer to display things like playing media, or notifications, but that seems like it would be pretty arduous to implement.

A few months back I build a wireless Lily58 to replace my wired Lily. And while for the most part I love it, I have noticed that the left "central" half drains it's battery 2-3x faster than the peripheral half(typically in less than 72 hours. This has lead to me keeping it plugged in most the of the time.

I have read that getting a dedicated dongle can help improve this, and I'll definitely look into that, but I was wondering if there was any modifications that may improve the lifespan.

Details:
The board is from typeractive, with the Nice!Nano v2 and Nice!display, as well as the batteries typeractive ships.

My rotation only has me working 2 or 3 days at a time(GF is on the same schedule, so I prep her meals at the same time as mine), so typically the night before one of those working periods I'll make an extra large dinner that also serves as my meal prep.

I have maybe a dozen dishes in the "frequent rotation", but I regularly cook off menu as it were. This last work period I make is burrito bowls, and we've got a 3 day coming up, not sure what I'll make yet, but I'm currently feeling curry rice.
