Ideally when properly understood each religion usually means well and enhances oneself in some way, from my little studying into a couple popular ones they seem to be aiming for similar things so I'm less and less convinced of inherently biased religious practices and more and more convinced of sucky people.

I think spirituality goes hand in hand with mental health and when we understand it badly we dig ourselves into deeper holes or when we understand it rightly we keep ourselves from falling in holes.

If what you teach someone helps them, that is good, otherwise just leave them alone.

The bone comic book omnibus from Jeff smith Bone omnibus amazon link

The book is basically Tolkien+Disney, it is aimed at a kid audience but it tackles some heavy topics that adults will enjoy, its great because it tackles metaphysics a lot in ways that are interesting for all ages.

I guess at this point I should consider myself a buddhist.

I was raised in a Christian household in the us midwest but never felt drawn to it or any form of sprituality, over the years Buddhism in its many forms kept creeping up on me enough times and explaining things in such elegant ways that I eventually looked into Tibetan Buddhism more closely and realized that once you understand how the symbolism of it all works in terms of connecting the words of practices to actually useful life tips then it becomes a great benefit to yourself and others.

As simply as possible, I chose this route because it is like becoming a scientist of experiences and all the practices we do are things that prove what we experience just as a scientist forms a postulate, a Buddhist forms a practice that leads to some form of awareness.

Actually now that you mention it I think you are half right after looking into it more.

It does seem like it is actually heavily regulated and not necessary illegal, but I guess this would mean illegal for unlicensed people to sell.

If I had to guess most sellers in the us with tritium in their products aren't selling tritium but rather selling procured items with tritium and thats probably a legal workaround for that.

Ooh do you work for glow rhino?

[–] confuser@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

Name checks out

Today I learned that it is illegal to sell tritium in the us but it is not illegal to buy it in the us...so here is a website selling tritium trinkets that come from taiwan!

They are like glow sticks that last for 10 years, it is perfectly safe unless maybe you were drinking liquid tritium for a few weeks.

I don't think Microsoft really did anything extra, I think the media just got trended real hard.

I had known about Microsoft's work on this topological chip for at least a year before the recent rage about it thanks to a youtube channel called domain of science who went over what was happening here, he is a quantum hardware developer first but stopped to make this YouTube channel which creates maps of various fields of science, its a very good channel highly reccomend it!

Thanks for at least listening, what I learned from this is that even without going into a big switch like that it seems like everyone would benefit from getting a general blood panel test done so they can see if there is something specifically unexpectedly off that may be contributing, some peoples tests ive seen seem to be in a very wide range of a target so much so that its not useful to go by that and others I've seen seem to have a very narrow range of what the target is so if you ever did get one I'd go do some research of your own just to make sure the numbers look fine.

From what I have learned everyone lacks something or has too much of something without a intentional effort to fix it which may or may not contribute negatively or positively moment to moment but it won't be good long term so I definitely recommend a general blood panel at the least just to have one for curiosity from an earlier date to look back to in the future.

In terms mamalian biomass, humans make up 36%, our livestock makes up 60% and every other wild mammal makes up just 4% of the mamalian biomass, witch is absolutelly wild In terms of all animals, we make up 2.5% of biomass, and in terms of all living things we make up 0.01% biomass

This is funny to me because san-disk literally means no disk, same as how sans serif means no serifs.
