Left due to the API stuff due to Apollo getting axed. Loved that Christian recorded their calls and exposed how crappy they were for blaming things on him. Fun drama, but I left and never looked back.
It’s still a bit of an echo chamber of sheep in here but I haven’t really tried different servers to find like minded ppl. I like the mod of the server I’m on and that’s cool for me for now.

I am looking at some smart locks, but they’re able to be used as dumb locks with PIN code and physical key also. And they have a usb power port on the outside you could plug a battery into.
I’ve gone down the smart home route a decade ago and only did non-cloud integrated devices with physical controls also. But it’s a part time hobby to maintain it.

I don’t think you understand what DEI means. It isn’t some term that means “likes minorities”. And being against DEI isn’t racist.
As an adult I have tons of friends that I go months without talking to, and then randomly message. Behavior you’re describing is petty and vengeful. It really doesn’t help you personally if you treat relationships like games as you describe.
I just bought a house with a 12x12 room in the back of the upstairs for my gf to create exactly this. She loves it. Has a rocking chair, blanket, and a half dozen bookcases filled up.
