"Unremoval of Piracy Communities" https://lemmy.world/post/6018317

This post needs to be updated to reflect the current policy.

Six months later, a new Removal of piracy communities announcement confirmed that these communities had been removed. [!piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com](/c/piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com), which was the most popular piracy community, is still inaccessible to lemmy.world users. This is misleading: users see the old post, sign-up, and then find out they cannot access the community.

Please edit the original post to include the new removal announcement.

Nerede? Nasıl? Neden? Kim?
  • Kaynak Şeffaflığı: Her bilgi orijinal kaynağına mutlaka referansla sunulmalı.

While various existing codes have some differences, most share common elements including the principles of – truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, fairness and public accountability – as these apply to the acquisition of newsworthy information and its subsequent dissemination to the public.

  1. Kaliteli içeriği destekleyin: Doğru kaynak gösteren, özgün habercilik yapan kuruluşları takip edin, paylaşın maddi destekte bulunun
  2. Kalitesiz kaynakları uyarın: Referans vermeyen, çalakalem içerik üreten siteleri ve kişileri uygun bir dille eleştirin, uygulama mağazalarında ve platformlarda düşük puan verin

Arama motorlarına geri bildirim paylaşın

  • Google için arama sonucunun sağındaki üç noktaya tıklayın --> Geri Bildirime tıklayın

  • Yandex için arama sonucunun sağındaki üç noktaya tıklayın --> Hata Bildire tıklayın

  • DuckDuckGo için arama sonucunun sağındaki üç noktaya tıklayın --> Bu Site Hakkında Geri Bildirim Paylaşına tıklayın

Medya okuryazarlığınızı geliştirin: Her gördüğünüz haberi sorgulayın, orijinal kaynağı bulun, farklı kaynaklardan doğrulayın

OpenClaw will live in a foundation as an open source project that OpenAI will continue to support. The future is going to be extremely multi-agent and it's important to us to support open source as part of that.

Sometimes I find old Reddit posts on search engines, and when I look at them the top commenter's account is deleted. This has happened many times, and I was curious about the general statistics of this.

I made a small analysis of Reddit.

I searched some random words with top posts: "minecraft, people, help, science, google, amazon, funny, colorful."

I didn't just choose the top one; I chose 10 old posts and summed up the total users in comments (top posts hierarchically).

data

Results;

total 1,947 users, 451 deleted, 23.1%

btw this is for users who deleted their accounts; maybe there are many more abandoned

this is just a small research I did; the real stats may be higher or lower - I don't know

So at least in my research, 23% of top commentator Reddit users chose to delete their accounts; some of them also deleted their comments, and some obfuscated their comments (to poison LLMs)

But 23% of top commentors is a really big number. These guys made Reddit the Reddit, but they chose to leave

ayrıca uzun vade için şimdiden haber kaynaklarını listeleyip güvenilmez haber kaynakları (örneğin ahaber veya x.com'daki sahte haber sayfaları) Not: Bunu yaparken çok titiz olmamız lazım hiçbir haber kaynağını sırf belirli politikada diye blacklist etmemeliyiz (örneğin Cüneyt Özdemir)

(and they did good enough but you know I can't trust 100%) but then I realize for this task and many many task i used AI can be done with just core linux tools with 100% accuracy with 100% reproducibility and you won't have any suspicion and it's free and very fast

for this specific one task even a very cheap model Kimi-K2.5 cost $0.006 maybe this looks nothing but this is just one prompt think what if you create an agent that you use everyday (agents cost much more tokens)

like if i prompt like this everyday with 100 message in a month it'll cost

  • if Moonshot Kimi-K2.5 ----- $18
  • if OpenAI GPT-5.2 ----- $93
  • if Google Gemini-3-Pro ----- $105
  • if Claude Opus 4.6 ----- $200

what the hell??? this text is is not even that big! what if I feed youtube videos, large pdfs, full documentations or translate long texts?

maybe I can think "these models will be cheaper"

but the problem is not just cost

  • in best chance it gives good-enough result, not best
  • it's just simulate current information and it creates a loop (it'll always follow current trends)
  • it's killing innovation
  • you can't reproduce a result
  • you can't really trust (simple example: there is a list off apps, one of them is streamio, and you ask a llm to list free apps, but it can hide stremio and you'l never know, ok this was fictional, then here is a real example if you ask "How to block ads on YouTube" some models will not suggest or even not mention Revanced)
  • it's making us lazy and irrogant
  • it's promote confident but not accurate information
  • it's a single-point-of-failure
  • it's killing creativity
  • it's killing human interaction (think you use an llm to write a email for you and the receiver use a llm to summarize it and use llm to answer that email,,, than what's the meaning of communication?)
  • it's promoting quick information shots (you can't summarize somethings, or you can't eli5 somethings you need to give hard efforts and time, if everyone summarize everything than why we'll have books, videos, articles... if you summarize something that mean it's not important for you and looking that is a problem from beginning)

From now on I'm starting an experiment for 1 week to see results;

  • I will not use any AI/LLM
  • I will block all AI/LLM websites
  • For help I'll ask humans

Since 2022 (afaik) GrapheneOS and its devs' blogs have been distributing disinformative FUD campaigns against F-Droid, Firefox, Linux and even uBlock Origin, and they promoted accrescent.app and Chromium for years.

They spammed developers to upload their apps to accrescent.app. https://gitlab.com/ironfox-oss/IronFox/-/issues/7

  • here is one of there spam account
  • this account copy-pasted this same text in 9 popular open-source project within just 1 hour
Have you considered or are you planning on putting your app on Accrescent (app store focused on security, privacy, and usability)

Accrescent is a private and secure Android app store built with modern features in mind.

It was just endorsed by GrapheneOS (considered by many to be the most private and secure mobile operating). GrapheneOS also now has accrescent in their app store.

Right now there is only 9 apps on it. So any new apps added get great installation opportunities from the privacy and security minded community.

Anyway, I really like your app, and would love to see it on Accrescent because it's so easy to install and update apps compared with f-droid, plus much more secure!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm a security and privacy conscious individual, not associated with Accrescent or GrapheneOS (though I use them both).

They created many blogs with different domains:

Suspicious GitHub accounts:

(Translated from French)

I've never shied away from expressing my doubts about F-Droid https://privsec.dev/posts/android/f-droid-security-issues/ (I'm mainly referring to its official repository here).

Here they admit privsec.dev is theirs.

and privsec.dev authors are akc3n and TommyTran732

Also, here is a second proof that https://madaidans-insecurities.github.io/ is owned by the same person/group:

also

As you can see, they distribute FUD across many different domains (these are just my findings).

Also, I find that https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/f-droid-foss-android-app-store/13650 and https://www.privacyguides.org/en/os/linux-overview/ privacyguides team are referencing this BS "research."

Here is good example how this referance loop create a big problem

Someone write a github issue on secureblue about they want to keep firefox and look at the answer

Thanks for your comments. I'll respond to them individually:

> Please note that Madaidans Article is now pretty old. Many issues still persist, but 3 or so of the linked ones where closed 5mo ago, due to being solved.

Regardless, that article is not the only reference point here. See also the grapheneos article https://grapheneos.org/usage#web-browsing

This project will not switch to firefox unless/until GrapheneOS does.

Do you see the problem? That says that article is not the only referance also reference grapheneos but grepheneos article is the main source of madaidan"s

For the public record, please do not trust anyone who references this disinformation.

Also in lemmy we have at least 1 of their troll ~~@dnzm@lemmy.ml~~ I'm really sorry awkly when I paste this URL https://lemmy.zip/u/Stilic@lemmy.ml Lemmy's autocomple converted this and thanks @LytiaNP@lemmy.today for warning

  • Edit: every link I referanced also has archive.org snapshots
  • Edit: fixed markdown formatting Edit: added akc3n (privsec.dev co-owner and GraphaneOS employer) and qua3k and added info about RKNF404 and Ganwtrs
  • Edit: added secureblue example

Because they don't really search or index quality content (it's very expensive and hard to do) and their search implementation really sucks, they don't do any real improvement.

The process is like this:

  1. Take the user query and create 1-3 queries. For this process they use very stupid but fast and cheap models; because of that, sometimes they create very stupid search queries and, unlike a pro, they don't really know how to use search engines, like filtering, ranking, focusing...
  2. Combine these search results (it contains slop AI-generated summary pages, YouTube videos, maybe forums, maybe Wikipedia...).
  3. Use RAG with an LLM to find answers. LLMs will always try to find answers quickly, and instead of making a thinking loop in a long article they will use that slop page with a direct answer.

As you can see, there are many, many problems in this implementation:

  • The biggest problem is citation: they cite confidently but it's wrong.
  • They use low-quality data, like auto YouTube subtitles, improperly extracted tables and elements, content-farm sites, copycat sites, corporate blogs...
  • Their search results are low quality.
  • For the most important part (breaking down the user request) they use cheap, stupid models.
  • They handle all data in the same context instead of parallel requests (which is very expensive)

It's still strange to me: we always say "they have all the data, all the money, all the hardware..." but they still can't create a better AI search than random FOSS developers.

It says

A proprietary service that combines GPS, Wi-Fi, cellular networks etc. to determine your location more accurately. It may connect to Google servers.

But I don't have Google Play Services, I use microG and microG don't use Google's services for location they use beacondb.net. Can we change this?
