I would set aside a dedicated device that acts as a sort of "provisioner" and admin node. It can be something like a raspberry pi or desktop computer.

From a backup perspective I would evacuate risk vs cost/effort. If you lost your home would it really matter that you lost some config files?

You want something outside of IPtables like Firewalld. Ansible should only run to make changes to a existing system.

Everyone likes to blame Meta but no one seems to be talking about Ford or Cisco

Meta isn't the only company to do business with the Chinese government. Any time the CCP is involved lots of what we would call shady things happen.

Except no one really uses Nix outside of Nix OS. It is slow and complicated for little reason.

Just use Ansible and an answers file

Is there a problem?

Its like that guy who donated 150 human hearts to the hospital

I don't get it

Alpine sort of used but it is pretty niche and is mostly using in containers.

Void and Guix both have tiny market share and lack a use case

The comment doesn't make much sense so people upvote in confusion

Neither of those seem good...

Old post but I think it is still relevant. Fedora also supports this but Fedora doesn't have a LTS support window

It is were the term gas lighting comes from

I've gotten a bit tired of Nextcloud as of late an I'm curious it is a viable alternative. I like having Nextcloud Talk but I can live without it.

This can be used to create a virtual GPU that you pass to hosts. This is applicable to pretty much any Linux system like Proxmox. I do wish it supported newer hardware.

Open up about:config and go to layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override and set it to one of the following:

0 => Force a Dark background

1 => Force a Light background

2 => Follow the System theme (default in Firefox 94)

3 => Follow the Browser toolbar theme (default in Firefox 95+)

I've started playing with it and it is actually pretty cool. I can create basic containers and then group them into pods. Once the pods are running and healthy I can deploy to Kubernetes
