Drone warfare is example in of cutting edge technology. It doesn't have to be hard electric technology, but the technology of how war is being waged. Using 100 of cheap small drones to stop air attacks from large drones instead of patriot missiles. Creating zones where the enemy can't go it because of drone coverage. Wiping out a 3rd of a countries nuclear capabilities in one attack. Even while oil is at an all time high Russia can't take advantage of it because Ukraine is destroying ports making it almost impossible to ship oil out.

You do realize that Ukraine has more cutting edge tech at the new way of war that the US. The EU is getting more weapons from Ukraine and they are building factories in the EU

If we are not making the penny we should stop making the nickel and the dime.

This is just insult to injury

The biggest use of oil is in the energy to run transportation.

Not that the would problem would go away but it would be an actual manageable problem.

Does anyone remember billionaires for Gush and Bore. It doesn't matter who you voted for as we bought them both.

Oil is still very useful. Especially when we stop burning it to make cars go forward or to fertilize crops.

A mostly electric future is a safer place

Was just watching a video that said the lowest priced new vehicle in the US is just over $20,000

I'm hoping the Iranian people can come out of this a better country. But you are totally correct in that the US did this for the oil not the people.

ROI on even a 2 story parking lot is a lot longer than the one and much more expensive than double the price.

Paving is cheap, easy and other than drainage design is pretty straightforward. Put in drainage, grade land, put down bedding material for the asphalt, put down asphalt and curbing, paint line install signs.

A multi-story garage needs a ton of engineering, concrete and rebar and is custom to each location. Because you have a lot of weight in these structures

If you look at amusement parks that have parking garages most of them are land locked or purchasing new land for parking is so expensive it's cheaper to build a garage

(Please note I'm am a layman about construction, there is probably a construction person or engineer that can explain it better just a theme park fan that likes reading about how the engineer rides and have occasional tumbled over into parking engineering which is a fascinating topic of how much engineering goes into it)

These guys just ruined the sport for at least the next 5 to 10 years and they don't even realize it.

Most of them will probably be let go at the end of their contracts and have to go outside the country to other leagues to continue playing if those leagues allowed them.

They are a PR nightmare

The right wing keeps thinking if we just remove these people it will be better, when that doesn't work, they move on to a new group over and over again until you're the group that's causing the problem and they remove you.
