It will be more like Afghanistan. Iran is mostly mountainous and guerilla warfare will be the default. The US relies too much on technology which will not that useful in that environment. Don't forget that the Iran army has been training for years for this type of conflict. Afghanistan was a disaster for American troops but will be nothing compared to Iran.

My question is which allies? Europe is not an ally, China is not an ally. UK is not an ally, Middle East is not an ally except Israel and UAE. So who is he even talking about?

The worst and most stupid bit is this:

Speaking to crowds on Wednesday, vice president JD Vance said US allies are "suffering from this, frankly, more than we are."

He claimed this was because they had "focused on a lot of green energy scams and they're hurting a lot more than we are."

Vance continued:"As much as we've got to focus on getting these gas prices down, the reality is overseas they're feeling it far worse than we did because we've taken the steps to protect our energy economy.

It's amazing again how limited the US is with choices. In the rest of the world including soon Canada, there is a much greater choice of EV's. Take Australia for example: besides Tesla there is BYD, Seekr, Geely, MG, KIA, Polestar, Cherry, Hyundai, Skoda and WV. But because of the unsubstantiated hatred of anything Chinese, the US has only a couple of choices. Funnily enough, the CEO of Ford drives a Xiaomi SU7 and does not want to hand it in. Look up his interview after he visited China. The same applies to mobile phones. There are amazing phone brands in the rest of the world but again the US is limited. Land of the free but as long at it is beneficial to the US corporations. Competition is frowned upon.

Indeed they do but in other countries there are mechanisms in place to ensure you don't get a cosplay dictator. In the Netherlands, Wilders was elected who is a Trump wannabe, but thanks for the proper democratic system in the Netherlands, he was severely limited in what crazy shit he wanted to do. Obviously the government collapsed and now they have a much more middle of the road government, which means more will get done. It is about checks and balances but Trump does whatever he wants and no one stops him.

I can tell from my own experience that for pharmaceuticals, they invest heavily in China. One German pharmaceutical has within 1 year, tripled their own staff and bought a local pharma for 1 billion US$. At the same time they closed multiple locations in the US and laid off hundreds of people. Because of the current regime that do not support or believe in the new science. Both Chinese local and central governments are going hard on science with big investments or tax breaks.

Edit: not to mention the investment in Green and renewable energy. China invested 1 trillion dollars last year alone. https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@cryptoandcoffee/china-invested-1-trillion-on-renewable-energy-last-year-dqc

Americans must be so proud of their commander in chief. Well at least 40% still are. That's all you need to know about the United States. In regards to the world, you lost all respect and trust that took 80 years to built. If any other foreign leader would use this language, he would be in a white padded cell within hours.

There is this video about some American traveling and complaining that everywhere he goes people look at him with disgust and disdain. So there is that.

Good thing the US left the WHO. Another brilliant move by the regime. And don't come crawling back. The rest of the world will prepare for this disaster initiated by the US as ordered by Israel. The whole situation is just so vile.

China is just sitting back and watch this mess unfold. Of course there was zero chance of China helping the US. If anything it is strengthening the CCP position at home where the US turns the world is in chaos, but China remains stable and turned inward. The Chinese people mostly care about stability and safety. It's all playing in China's hands.

This change to single decimal on the timing sheets is ridiculous. It adds absolutely nothing and does not provide clear information about whether a car is improving per lap.

I have created a petition to return to 3 decimal places like it has been for over 20 years.

Please share and sign to put a stop to this idiocracy.

My post on the F1 Reddit got removed so perhaps someone else can share this on Reddit.

In the practice within the first five minutes, both Gasly and Hamilton went off because their brakes locked up without any reason. Especially Hamilton was clear to see as he was on a straight. Both McLarens have random snaps as confirmed by the radio messages. Colapento also went straight because the car decided this was the best option. It seems like there are too many controls in the car that make it almost impossible to predict what will happen. As a driver, I would be more cautious because it feels like the car is controlling you instead of the driver controlling the car. Bizar stuff.

Netherlands: after an embarrassing saga where Dutch minister Karremans, took control of the Chinese chip manufacturer Nexperia, almost bringing the European car industry to it's knees, the Chinese company is now producing these chips in China locally. It's like the Dutch government doesn't understand that the Chinese have a backup plan for their backup plan. Like there would be no response? Within months another foreign company is leaving the Netherlands because the Dutch government is an American lapdog.
