In the time period I'm referring to, either the person making the pie, or the person taking the pie were usually of a very... Let's just say "dark" complexion with extremely exaggerated features. I'm not saying the posted meme is racist at all, just that TV and movies way back then were.

An example:

When flipped around, the person that baked the pie was usually depicted in the mammy stereotype.
