Overview:
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

The US auto industry is fucked.
Not if imports are banned
The only country they will be able to sell to is the US, which is increasingly becoming less relevant an auto market.
I honestly didn't think that US made vehicles were relevant to the global market in the first place.
Tesla is American.
Was Tesla really globally relevant?
But you knew I meant traditional American brands.
nope, only in the usa where he had good propaganda, on a car with next to no QC.
Ford, GM and Stellantis are all over the world, although Stellantis (which includes Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep) isn’t American.
Also the Fords we get in Europe are completely different from the ones in the US, the two branches are almost completely separate. Different models, not produced in the same place, etc etc.
The model y was the best selling car in the entire world until recently.
No bans, just 100% tariffs to make them non-competitive to gasoline vehicles
