Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

What do you think would happen if someone went in there an yelled bomb?

[–] 3abas@lemmy.world 22 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Well, considering freedom of speech doesn't cover yelling "bomb", probably arrested for causing mass panic.

BOMB! THERE'S A BOMB ON THE PLANE THAT'S GOING TO EXPLODE IN MINUTES!

That would certainly test the free speech part

[–] sudoshakes@reddthat.com 31 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

No, it wouldn’t.

Jesus Christ has no one taken a civics class or studied how your government works?

Free speech limitations are clearly set with multiple case precedent. You would be arrested, convicted, and banned from ever flying. Full stop.

Did you really take that comment seriously?

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

Wasn't me, but imo they commented on the "test the free speech" part, not the joke itself.
