Trump has 30+ years experience of doing business with Russia; even when it was quite unpopular and frowned upon.
He was suspected of being a money launderer for Russian oligarchs, I think this was in the 90s if memory serves, and there was legal involvement and government investigation with few results.
But those are EU nations, I disagree that this is their goal now or in near future. They would have to be fully supported by China and India first, they're not berserk.
I don't think China will go for it, what they are doing now is working perfectly for their goals, they are not planning a military victory, but an economic one. All they have to do is be patient.
