Good first step. Now give up your ambitions for an ethnostate! Northern Iraq is incredibly diverse and includes many nations that are not Kurdish.
Rojava did try this, to their credit.
Rojava is a key reason the Assad government fell. They selfishly refused to work with the Syrian state, siding with the USA to prevent the government from receiving oil revenue which it desperately needed to rebuild. Rojava could have been a shining example for a united Syria, but the Kurds refused.
