CSIS: Operation Epic Fury cost $11.3 billion in its first 6 days. By Day 12, the estimated total reached $16.5 billion. The war is now burning through approximately $500 million per day.

The biggest single cost: munitions. 319 Tomahawk missiles, 786 JASSMs, 414 HARM missiles, 158 THAAD interceptors and 83 SM-3s fired in the first six days alone. THAAD deliveries are zero in FY2026 and production doesn't resume until April 2027.

Equipment losses confirmed so far: 3 F-15s, 1 KC-135, 11 Reaper drones, 1 THAAD radar โ€” $1.7 billion in hardware.

The Pentagon has already asked Congress for over $200 billion to finance the war. These estimates don't include Israel resupply, higher fuel costs across the DoD, or future veterans' benefits.

The $11.3 billion figure the DoD shared with Congress excludes the military buildup before the war even started.
