yes they do but only after about 20% of Windows users decided to leave everything MS related behind.

where does that 20% come from?

About 60% of people using Windows now, 3 month ago it were around 80%

Where are those stats coming from? Steam?

I've read it on a site called windowsforum.com some time ago. I understand your scepsis, thats my fault, sorry it's not 3 months but 3 years decline and in the article it was something about Windows has with 60% now the fewest users it ever had after the end of Windows 10 and constant AI implementations in every MS app possible.

Also I remember that 88% of all useres used Windows 10 about 2 or 3 years ago but I don't know where I've seen this survey, maybe it was steam.

Oh ok, too bad you don't have the link anymore.

Thanks for your reply.

And the other 80% only stayed because they were either not confident enough in their technical abilities to switch or had no choice (environment would need to be re-certified, software doesn't work well with wine, boss said no).

The other 80% are probably older folks that don’t know any better, nor have the expertise to install Linux, and the rest are people locked into Windows because of work.

Pretty much the two groups that I had in mind but I wanted to generalize a bit.
