Well, I doubt they'll prescribe too high a dose, if anything it'll be too low. Docs prefer to start low, and work up to the Minimally Effective Dose with any medication.
What you bring to the table: your symptoms, how they affect your life. That's all. Doc will figure out the rest.
Be sure to tell doc you had sertraline and you had to stop because of those side effects. Surprised to hear it was prescribed for ADHD - it's an SSRI.
Appointment timing is largely just doc availability. It takes 3 months to get an appointment for just about anything with my provider. Sometimes I can get a quicker appointment if I'm willing to go to a different location.
Prescribed for depression before anyone including myself had any inclination towards ADHD diagnosis.
OK thats makes a lot of sense. I know im prone to 'just winging it' and thst works like 80% of the time but like the 20 or so I sometimes am literally or more figuratively up the crik without a paddle.
