Apparently it means making them water and dust resistant or something like that

It derives from "to soak" or "to saturate" because they saturate the fabric with some resin (i think) to fill the voids between the strings, so it becomes (mostly) impermeable to water.

Interesting. I wonder what the etomological origin of that word is. Cuz whenever my husband gets me pregnant, I do not feel impervious to water or dust.

And in Spanish it just means "question."

But if spanish-speaking person A hears person B say they're "embarrassed," A might think B is pregnant.
