Firstly, sure, Israel is not a legitimate state and definitely should not exist, and probably is the worst thing Stalin ever allowed to happen. Now, let's leave all that aside, and take the worst case scenario where they manage to "win" in their terms, meaning that they manage to replicate what the USA did, and genocide the Palestinians fully.

Aren't they essentially doomed to be a dysfunctional broken state like the USA? All the so called gun violence, constant fear and surveillance, racial tensions, foundational inequality, etc. Essentially, can a settler state ever be rid of the inherently violence and brutality that gave birth to it? Why would you even want this?

Careful what you genocide for, because you'll never be over it.

Ironically, in the Torah the Hebrews start their origin story by pretending to have genocided the Canaanites, but that was just them... The folks who wrote that story truly set themselves up for the ultimate payoff.
