Fluxer v2 is out, mobile clients are open source, self-hosting is improving, and public development is moving back to GitHub.

pretty disappointing experience, lacks very basic features most startups have as well as paywalling the same features discord does, including the mobile only community? Stoat isn't exactly better because of the devs but this was pretty bad. Also keeps telling me my account is locked for security reasons even after verifying.

What happened with the Stoat devs?

They argue constantly in the development server with each other and are generally anti-decentralized. They went into a few rants about how they didn't like it and the userbase before.

But Fluxer offer self-hosting, that is really odd.

Is this a review for v2?

Looks like they offer a self-hostable version, which is probably the point.
