A frustration of mine is that hr at my current company will not allow hiring of a candidate that doesn’t have a LinkedIn account. I’ve had to ask a couple people that wanted to work on my team to create LinkedIn accounts otherwise I wouldn’t be able to hire them.
your current company sounds stupid.
No argument from me. They gave me a credit card to purchase things my team needs and I recently had to get vice president approval to spend $40 on a single mode fiber cable. It’s not a small company either. It was like five levels of approval and took two weeks just to spend $40 out of the $15k of annual discretionary spend for fast turn break/fix requirements. I dread the day a hard drive or something fails that really actually needs replaced in a timely manner.
