the nuclear family wasnt a thing until the 1950s, hence the name nuclear family, family during the atom age
The coin was termed in 1950s. Nuclear family goes back to 13th century England.
hmm okay, i always thought that was just the traditional christian family and that the nuclear family was that + the added layer of capitalism and even more rigid gender roles (more sexism etc)
