Nah. They will slightly tweak the law last minute to only cover yellow microwaves.
Good point! But unlike cars, maybe there could be multiple vendors for the same part? Then it should drag the price down. That's already the case about many Apple accessories.
cars in my country have 3rd party parts, but they are usually crap.
