i don't drive because of how my best friend and her parents died 22 years ago.
details
other driver was experiencing cardiac arrest while driving, swerved across the median and crashed into them. i was told they died instantly in a big-ass fireball but according to a report i found years later, the whole family died from smoke inhalation whilst unconscious. so like, not only was i lied to, that lie just put me off driving forever. idk what's worse tbh.my own dad is too dead to care, but before that he was happy that i at least learned to use public transport. i'm too far away from my mother now to care what she thinks about that.
ETA: come to think of it, my mom was the one who perpetuated the fireball lie...
