God is real.

Brother, watch this video and review it's contents with an open mind.

https://youtu.be/WCfbS4k1KNc

Your brother, Christopher Stowe, did what he did not because he believed in God, but because of his mental state

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (16 children)

"Video unavailable." I'm not signed in to YouTube on my phone.

I am an atheist because I see no reason to believe the baseless claim that any god exists.

Did you watch any of my videos with an open mind? Here is one explicitly about why I don't believe in god: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgC2juc3Rx4

Non YouTube version: https://snoopsqueak.com/videos/disproving-god

Your brother, Christopher Stowe, did what he did not because he believed in God, but because of his mental state

You're so close. Connect the dots. Who ruined his mental state and why? It was our christian parents doing what the bible explicitly commands. Hitting their children before we were old enough to understand anything. Lying to us every day about god, heaven, hell, and christ.

It's a death cult. Stop defending child abuse.

I watched your videos but it's full of absurd takes like "Jod". God can't be created as he would rely on his creator and thus not be God.

"God would be subject to the same limitations as everyone else" ??? He isn't, he's God. Our omnipotent creator is of a different nature than us.

It works for me, I'm not signed in too

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Our omnipotent creator is of a different nature than us.

You believe god is all-powerful? So you must also believe he does not love us. Why else would he create suffering?

Before you try to use "free will" as an excuse, there is no free will with an omnipotent god. He could create anything any way, he knew what would happen, and he chose to give children cancer. That is psychotic.

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The existence of suffering absolutely disproves any god that is both loving and powerful.

If god is all-powerful, literally everything that happens is his choice, including free will and what we do with it.

I personally don't believe in free will, exactly like I don't believe in god. There is no evidence for it.

Stop defending death cults. Real people are dying for your fake god.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)

did you read what I sent you?

And an omnipotent God gave us free will, but chooses not to take it away. Free will is a beautiful miracle.

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago

Yes, and you ignored the counterargument.

The existence of suffering absolutely disproves any god that is both loving and powerful.

If god is all-powerful, literally everything that happens is his choice, including free will and what we do with it.

Your version of god knew what we would do with our free will, including all the suffering that comes with it, and still chose to create us. Your god chose suffering. That is not love.

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's the special pleading fallacy. You can't define god into existence. If you can, I can define jod into existence. Play fair, people are dying for this shit.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's not special pleading if it's actually special.

Do you actually think an omnipotent creator would be bound by the same constraints as us?

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Prove that it's actually special.

You can't.

You're making a deadly assertion with zero evidence.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)

He created us, right? He is thus of a different nature than us as our nature had not existed before he created it

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

He created us, right?

Wrong. Why do you keep pretending this is a fact?

He is thus of a different nature than us as our nature had not existed before he created it

Weird use of "nature". So who or what created god?

Maybe the universe is of a different "nature" to us and always existed. We don't know, so stop pretending.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 5 days ago (3 children)

God cannot be created or else he wouldn't be God.

Read Aquinas

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

God cannot be created or else he wouldn't be God.

You cannot define god into existence. Provide evidence for his existence. You can't.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

there is a lot of philosophical proof for God's existence

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Philosophy is "some guy said ___." I am asking for actual evidence.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

philosophy is NOT "some guy said x"

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

Tell me your philosophical "proof" then, and I'll tell you which fallacy it is.

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Did you know that saying something doesn't make it true? I have read Aquinas. He's full of shit and so are you. You have no argument supporting god's existence.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Did you research the Principle for Sufficient Reason?

Everything that exists has a sufficient reason to exist

Tell me, what is your reason?

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Everything that exists has a sufficient reason to exist

Including god, then? So Jod is real?

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

You said:

Everything that exists has a sufficient reason to exist

Therefore, if god exists, he must also have sufficient reason. I call it Jod.

But "sufficient reason" is human bullshit. We don't know that it's true.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

God exists on a completely different plane of reality from us, can you stop trying to portray him as an equal to us?

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

God doesn't exist at all, can you stop lying about shit?

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It's not special pleading if it's actually special.

Jod is even specialer.

Do you actually think an omnipotent creator would be bound by the same constraints as us?

You're right, jod is above all. Praise jod.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Well, again, God can't be created as then he wouldn't be God

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Same with jod. Also, jod created god.

Since we're all just making shit up here. You haven't proven anything you are saying. My baseless claims are just as valid as yours.

You better not disrespect jod. You don't want to go to turbohell, do you?

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 5 days ago (1 children)

This would require God to be created, which is a logical contradiction

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

No, it's not logical to believe that god exists at all.

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Wrong question. You are the one making the positive claim that god exists.

Why should anyone believe that?

[–] homosapien@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

one of the.multiple reasons is the principle of sufficient reason

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

But that's human bullshit.

We don't know that everything needs a cause.

We don't know that infinite regress is impossible.

And if everything needs a cause, so does god.

[–] SnoopSqueak@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago

It works for me, I'm not signed in too

Probably my VPN. Thank you for at least taking a look at what I have to say. I am angry because others have it even worse than I do, and it's completely unnecessary. Stupid, selfish people believe in magic and treat their own children like property as a direct result.
