These systems are so complex that's basically impossible to tell where to problem lies without seeing inside. But it looks like it failed somewhere in the chain and didn't even reach your bank, since no transactions show up. Maybe contact the card provider (MasterCard/Visa)?

I appreciate the suggestion. I think of the bank as the card issuer.. I think you mean to contact the network provider. Sounds like it’s worth a try. I did not think of that.
Some time ago I had a problem with the card from a different bank. When talking to that bank, there was a department within the bank that could see deeper and review transactions at the network level (visa/mc). But the bank at hand that I’m dealing with now seems a bit blind and helpless.
Visa just transfers the call to my bank.
