Louis on the right side of tech history once again.

I used to wholeheartedly endorse Bambu's printers for newbies because they are affordable and have great out of the box print quality without a lot of tinkering, but at this point my recommendations for newbies have turned into "literally any other brand, maybe look at Prusa first? ONLY if you really, really want specifically a Bambu one, and no other options are good for you, THEN you should buy a Bambu."

Bambu's shooting themselves in the foot for no real gain.

I endorsed Bambu printers for a whole 2 months until they began their crap, now I wouldn't wish Bambu on my worst enemy.

This still doesn't fix the issue that bambu owns your file when you print it. These devices should not be used by any company.

Exactly that was an instant no from me dawg the second I started researching my first printer a few years ago and since then i've been baffled and irked everytime I see people supporting them...

They're stealing your data, they're probably going to use it to make some shitty AI that tries to fuck over any actual 3d designers or something

And I am more than happy to donate for that guy to fuck them up

I stopped updating my P1S (a gift I received) at 1.07.00.00 and use Orca Slicer. Best I can do in that situation.

Firewall it, or better, run it offline just to be extra sure

There must be a fork somewhere so I can improve the numbers? Also because I'm interested in porting slicers to flashforge.

Wasn’t biqu working a control board that’s a drop in replacement for the P1 series and runs vanilla klipper?

I have a friend who is still considering purchasing one. There is some employee purchase thing where he works and its the only printer available under the plan.
