Nobody wants to spend their free time dwelling in negativity, so I'd like to know what Lemmys to subscribe to?

Ironic, considering the name

A lot of the photography communities, like !entomology@mander.xyz, !crows@lemmy.ml, !birding@lemmy.world are great

I just found !animals@lemmy.world recently and Iโ€™ve been enjoying it a lot so far

Glad you're enjoying it! Johnny Enzyme and I are trying to revive it.

It gives me a place to share great non-owl stuff I come across.

!mealtimevideos@lemmy.cafe, !pixelart@retrolemmy.com and !solarpunk@slrpnk.net (and the other solarpunk related comms) are quite chill :)

Many apps have an option to filter on keywords for things you don't want in your feed. It is quite effective. It's a good start.

little wins and small victories is very low volume, but wonderful to see pop up in your feed.

In the grim darkness of the fediverse, there is only war.

lots of owl posts too, superbowl. A few dog ones, not many. I wish there were more nature groups.

Hexbear.net is pretty chill most of the time! The News megathread is always more sobering, but the culture is goofy and fun.

The nsfw communities are pretty happy with what's going on there

I think the ADHD meme instance is pretty chill.

I also like the Danish feddit, but we all speak Danish, so eh. But that is probably the most wholesome place in this whole lemmy/feddit thing.

Maybe the dad joke group too, but that's not really a place for chatting xD more like a place you go to punish yourself ๐Ÿ˜†

What many people perceive as negativity is cognitive dissonance related to their own standpoint on an issue. It can be quite relaxing to get the truth up front and save yourself a few hours. I'd say this site is already good, just needs more people to flesh it out still. ;)
