I see you've never heard of the Log Cabin Republicans. They have been turned away from Republican events across the country for decades, and they still insist on their bubble. I went on a date with a wealthy lesbian during the first Trump admin. We talked politics, and I discovered she was republican. I asked her what her reasons were for voting republican when they have fought against LGBT people for decades. "My 401K and stock options are doing amazing under Trump." I've had a few log cabin republican friends and it's the same answer, money. All the money in the world ain't gonna save you from fascist, christian, nationalist conversion/reeducation/concentration camps, but you do you sis.
Also, assuming those gay guys had camera phones or hidden recording devices, they have the ability to gather compromising material and blackmail this shit out of that politician.
