Sorry for missing last weekend's post. I've got exams coming up and haven't been playing too much lately, so it just kinda slipped my mind.
I am yet to play any soulslikes right now. Don't have a lot of mental capacity for anything other than League of Legends.
I've been a console gamer ever since ~2017 when I bought my first console(s) and have been playing on them exclusively up until last year when I built myself a PC. Thus, until last year, I've only been playing soulslikes on PS4/5 and have enjoyed doing so as well. The games run well, it's comfy to play from the couch, and the games look nice too.
Ever since getting my PC, I have replayed Sekiro and Lies of P and have tried my hand at Another Crab's Treasure too. I'm not sure if my liking it more on PC has to do with my decreased tolerance towards console BS, but I think I prefer it over console. I have a better posture, I can do stuff on the side, the games I've played thus far work really well even with my very outdated rig (1080ti and very outdated mo-bo and CPU)... I don't even have much of an urge to go back to console even though I have a lot of soulslikes I still need to check off my list there (DS1-3, Nioh 1&2).
I don't know, I feel like the discontinuation of physical games on PlayStation is more of a cherry on top of all the other gripes I have with consoles as a whole. PS5 might very well be the last console I've bought. Especially since I'll be done with school soon and will have more of a disposable income, I'll try to put it towards upgrading my PC despite RAM-ageddon and the insane storage prices.
What are your thoughts on this?
