Prosecutor Pam Bondi, testified before the Senate that her country will not be intimidated by any nation that threatens its security, citing Mexico as a threat on the same level as Tehran, Moscow, DPRK and Beijing.

The statements were made in the context of an appearance by the U.S. Attorney on the budget of the Department of Justice.

“Trump has made it clear: we will not give in to those who want to harm us or drug our children,” Bondi said, generating controversy for including the neighboring country in that category.

Pam Bondi's comments came in response to a question from Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who was critical of Mexico for its alleged lack of cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking.

The Republican argued that much of Mexico's territory is under the control of organized crime and emphasized that U.S. security depends on a change in strategy in Mexico's fight against criminal cartels.

The statements come at a time of growing diplomatic tensions and could further complicate the bilateral relationship between Washington and Mexico, especially on border security and anti-drug cooperation.

We can't! We already at a low level war with the pro US factions(cartel members, traitorous liberals that turn a blind eye to their people suffering at the hands of ICE and remnants of the counter insurgency era) in Mexico. Also, our economy is deeply entrenched with the Yankees. However, all of that is slowly changing.

Ironic, given that those cartels are then cited by people like Lindsey Graham and Pam Bondi as the reason why Mexico is a problem for the US.

I haven't been keeping up with Mexico much lately. I'd love getting your opinion on Sheinbaum's government and where you think it's headed.

Sheinbaum's govt is heading to confrontation with the US if she keeps going for the route of strengthening the nationalization of key industries(CFE, Pemex, Lithium, passenger train route) and certain other reforms(Judicial reform where people can elect their own judges).

She still has a high approval rating. As for me, I see all of this as the first time that Mexico is receiving better breadcrumbs from a social democracy. As of this moment, this is the best that we can get within our current material conditions and I am hopeful that our material conditions will improve if we keep diversifying away from the gringos.

hasn't worked well for north korea and even just the rumor of iran having them gets their leadership routinely assassinated and their factories bombed from orbit; they're smart to stay away from it.

Actually It's worked very well as a deterrent for the DPRK. That war never ended, it's only been frozen. The puppet regime in the south isn't suicidal enough attack, which is why half of the country is still sovereign.
The zionist entity has been bombing and assassinating everyone they don't like in the region for decades. Mossad is one of the most violent and bloodthirsty terrorist organizations on earth. It's not like they act in accordance with International Law or ask the UN for permission to do political assassinations. It has nothing to do with nuclear weapons that don't exist, it's because Israel is a US military base for regional hegemony and the US has been angry since 1979 for Iranians overthrowing the US puppet regime (which the US installed in the 1953 coup of Mossadegh, to unaccountably steal Iran's oil). Don't forget the US backed Saddam in the Iraq-Iran war 1 year later, which lasted almost 8 years and killed hundreds of thousands of Iranians. Iran does not have and does not want nuclear weapons, but they should since a very strong deterrent is the only thing which will give the empire pause to keep attacking.

There's no rumor, they know very well that iran was not building nukes. The reason Iran's leaders get assassinated is exactly because the enemy knows that they don't have nukes.

The DPRK has yet to be invaded which is the entire purpose of the nuclear deterrent, and the only reason the last excursion against Iran happened was because Iran has the capability for nukes but stubbornly refuses to actually make them.

Its not going to happen, like it or not Mexico is still a US vassal. Like even if we wanted to stand against the US, our weaponry is several generations behind what Iran has for example. We don't have any weaponry industry other than infantry equipment basically.
