Probably because it perpetuates a tired stereotype of the armed forces/first responders beating their families by showing that the daughter hopes he lost a hand so he can't hit her.
That feels like a bit of a stretch to me for what is a pretty standard anti-meme.
Well, if we can take the upvote/downvote system as a measure of agree/disagree you can see that at least a few people clocked it the same way I did.

If it's a chronic thing where you can't stop thinking and you loose sleep it may be an anxiety disorder.
