This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.

See this GitHub page for a collection of sources about socialism, imperialism, and other relevant topics.

This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.

We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.

So even the Jacobin now is publishing the “Genocide is bad, but also Hamas” bullshit now. Liberal centrism is a malignant tumor

First, it does not explain what changed after October 7 — why was there no political majority for such a campaign in Gaza beforehand? Second, it assumes that the genocide aligns with the interests of the majority in Israeli society. This assumption is both empirically and morally flawed: there is no evidence that the genocide will make Israelis safer or more prosperous.

"First, it does not explain what changed after the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Why was there no political majority for such a campaign to send them to Auschwitz? Second, it assumes that the genocide aligns with the majority in German society. This assumption is both empirically and morally flawed: there is no evidence that the genocide will make Germans safer or more prosperous"

This guy is a charlatan who cycles between m-dashes and commas, probably did well in high school english class but stayed at that level the rest of his life.

These people think that no matter what atrocities they committed pre-October 7th (which he OPENLY ADMITS in his statement about how they would bomb Gaza or slowly take over the west bank via settlers) that it was still not a justified action.

If a nuke landed on tel aviv, there would be positive reverberations throughout the world.

... First-world problems compared to what others are going through, but...

Yes-yes, I'm sure you're capable of empathy for fellow settlers or whatever, now face the wall.

Of course, this is "exactly" self pity and it's the default operating mode of westoid leftoids

I think this guy puts way too much stock in the movement to return the prisoners of war. Most zios want to pause the genocide, secure the hostages, and then complete the genocide but somehow without losses. The imaginary coalition he's pointing toward as meaningful opposition are only opposed to the genocide because the idf is losing and hemorrhaging casualties. Most would be happy returning to business as usual pre al aqsa flood style ethnic cleansing and colonialism where they get their treats and dance parties and don't have to actually face what their society is founded and dependent on.

Basically saying, 'if only people would stop pointing out we're an active colonial project serving white supremacist imperialism, we could have a zionist led opposition to zionism!'

Wait... You guys do know that jacobin is an op right?

[–] tastemyglaive@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

It would be nice if that was sufficient. Jacobin's political allies in the US and Europe are widely considered allies of the international communist movement. People are so clueless they think that Jacobin sometimes publishing someone they like nullifies the "op" aspect of it. Of course I view that as making it even worse.

I don't wanna look into Kurt Hackbarth too much in case it turns out the only cool Jacobin writer is an asshole too

[–] The_Filthy_Commie@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

I only know him from Soberanía podcast with José Luis Granados Ceja, and so far they're cool.

[–] PoY@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 2 weeks ago

"worst part of the genocide" oh pray tell what was that? is the genocide on the upswing now?

[–] Bart@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
