I remember watching films on Amazon Prime used to work just fine but it's been a few months since I watched anything and now, for some reason, it doesn't work anymore.

I hear the sound but there's no video - just black.

I tried Firefox, Opera and Librewolf - same Problem, so I wanted to ask here if the problem could be OS-related.

From the research I've done I found that apparently it could be something to do with hdcp copy protection, but I didn't get any error message in that regard.

Does anyone have an idea how this problem can be fixed?

In firefox you might need to enable playing drm protected content in the settings for that.

I just checked - it was already enabled. Interesting that it doesn't work on Firefox, Opera and Librewolf but does work on Vivaldi.

Try using Chromium and see if it works, it may not either. I had to install google chrome on my wife's laptop but I can't recall if that was for netflix or amazon prime.

Sorry that's a bit fuzzy, yes prime can work on mint, but it may need google chrome

I have no problems with Prime in Zen Browser.
