I would just like to point out that that photo is doctored, and jd vance does not in fact look like that.

His real face is less hairy and way more shiny

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I thought that was a gif at first, but it was my eyes playing tricks on me.

Like a mostly still gif, but like the eyes just quickly dart back and forth every 5 seconds or so.

Dammit, you made me look again.
You win this round...

At this point i don't remember the correct proportions of that face anymore

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 14 points 3 weeks ago

This is clearly AI, he has way too many fingers on his hand; five.

I see him more as a lobster type of thing.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

This IS the correct proposition of his face.

[–] MissJinx@lemmy.world 15 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

[–] I_Fart_Glitter@lemmy.world 37 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I don't do physics anymore but my quantum professor's doctoral advisor's doctoral advisor was in this image. Max born I think

[–] mathemachristian@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

Pretty sure these people are the jengiz khans of doctoral advisors

[–] HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works 14 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Is this Marie Curie on the front row?

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Maria Skłodowska-Curie, yes.

[–] HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Didn't know she and Einstein met... Where is it? Somewhere in Europe I presume

. Pauli’s sharp tongue was legendary; he once said about a bad paper: “This isn’t right; this isn’t even wrong.”

That's MY type of scientist!

[–] HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 weeks ago

Wow, great read, thanks!

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I only recognize Nobel (not even certain about him), Curie, Freud, and Einstein, that’s bad.

Thanks and sorry, Hendrik Lorentz! I’d consider it a grave insult to be confused for Freud, lol.

[–] MBM@lemmings.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

[–] SlartyBartFast@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 weeks ago

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago

And I think a couple of Indians. But possibly my point still stands.
