I've been recommending 3 Idiots to STEM friends for years.
Edit: you said "recent" and I missed it. I still recommend 3 Idiots to people despite it being about 15 years old.
For actual "recent", I like horror and horror comedy movies so would recommend to my fellow horror comedy watchers Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The third one came out last year.
