Explanation: The Achaemenid (left) and Sassanid (right) dynasties of the Persian Empire were immensely successful states of Classical Antiquity, contemporary with the heyday of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, and whose heartlands roughly correspond to modern Iran. As the meme points out, both of those dynasties were accomplished, innovative, and respected.

Iran is currently under a... less-than-fantastic theocratic regime which is struggling with internal dissent. One hopes that the current protests topple the government without being co-opted by certain unsavory foreign powers, especially, at present, Israel or the US.

Should have stuck with the name Persia. Imagine throwing out such well a respected and historic name

Iran is also very ancient and more widely used inside of Iran itself, which is why they asked the international community in the 1930s to start using it. I agree Persia sounds cooler, though.

Is that AI? I don't like AI. Good meme otherwise.

If it's AI, it's very old AI. That pose of Swole Doge is pretty ancient at this point.

Only the finest vintage AI in this house.

Probably very early AI if it even is AI as PugJesus said, as tineye tracks the image back to Oct 18 2022.
