I'll never understand how people can look at what happens to a place when you seed it with thousands/millions of landmines and still think "hey that's a good idea, let's do that!"

Just plant a bunch of hidden murder traps and dust off your hands, no need to think of the next generation(s)! And don't even worry about having a plan to ensure the eventual safe disarming and disposal of these fields of bombs, that's someone else's problem!

If it were almost any other country I wouldn't think nukes would be on the table, but with Israel I just don't know how recklessly they're willing to escalate.

Not a military expert but it makes sense to me. Seems best to saturate israels missile defense network with the lower tech/more numerous rockets and save the good ones when they stand the best chance of getting through
