i dont treat my thinkpad gently (photo as evidence), and it is in perfect condition after a year, throwing it in my school backpack daily, getting tossed around, getting hit and bumped countless times, on top of what it experienced before i got it (it was second hand from some business) i wouldn't say its very fragile. sure, its no T series thinkpad, but L series seems to be overhated.

Russia started the conflict in the Donbas when the DPR and LPR 'countries' were founded, after Russian backed paramilitaries took control of the region.. they also seized Crimea, and this is regarded as the start of the Russo-Ukraine war in 2014, not 2022, 2022 was only the start of the full scale invasion. Shelling is part of a conflict, and has been going on since 2014. The start of the war. Russian paramilitaries literally shot down a completely innocent passenger airliner. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_17

"This is literally what the Ukranians nazis are thinking right now." Im sure the Russian Nazis are thinking they are superior too.

Maybe I do hold pro-western views, it makes sense as I was born and grew up in the European Union, and I have thought of my time on this planet as pretty good so far. Most former Warsaw Pact countries now in the EU (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia) all had a cultural renaissance after the fall of the Russian dominated USSR, in the EU culture was allowed to be practiced freely.

It is concerning that Zelenskyy said he wants Ukraine to be a 'Big Israel', but since it says in the article Israel is an important part of the Russo-Ukranian war, he probably wanted to gain more sympathy from Israel. This statement is still pretty undefendable. Bravo, you win on this one.

Name them? Multiple wars in Georgia 1991-2008, Syrian Civil War 2015-2024, Russo-Ukrainian war 2014-Present, Both Chechen Wars 1994-2009, War of Dagestan 1999, Tajik Civil War 1992-1997, Transnistrian War 1992, Central African Republic Civil War 2018-Present, Mali War 2021-Present. All of these after 1991.

This debate is about the Russian Federation, not entities before them, so I won't speak about what they did before 1991.

Russia has made many attempts at kidnapping and killing Ukrainian politicians since the start of the war, but haven't been as successful.

I would also like to make it clear that majority of NATO does not support the Iran War, and as such has not joined the United States. The USA is a bad spokesperson for the rest of the alliance.

All this and not to mention the literal drone strikes on NATO countries since the start of the war. So yes, Russia is the aggressor.

I'll give you that, what you're saying makes sense, but in an ideal world, we don't have to give our data to any government.. only in our dreams though..

I would think the Romanian and Moldovan populations would want this, regardless of the EU. Smaller states aren't always better, especially considering Moldova is one of the poorest countries on the continent. The Moldovans would benefit from being a European Union member, having more opportunities for work, travel, and education, and also being a member of NATO, giving them protection from Russia in case Ukraine doesn't hold them back. Romania would see it as a reunification with what is their historical lands. There are more benefits for the Moldovans than Romanians IMO, but both still seem to want it. The EU would have to invest heavily in both, yes, but the strategy of investing heavily into struggling members paid off many times, a good example being Poland, being incredibly poor when they joined, to now a European powerhouse after getting the money they needed. I believe when Romania and Moldova unify, the EU would be willing to invest, especially in their defense and infrastructure.

Also just wanna say that Russia Today (RT), the network responsible for the article OP linked, is a particularly shitty news network, and of course they would focus on the negatives of the reunification. Every inch of land that goes to the EU and NATO is a humiliation to them, and they will try everything to make sure that the general population is against it. Another article in relation to Moldova realigning with the European Union : "This European country is preparing to give up its future for an ‘EU dream’" is clearly just Russian propaganda. Please OP never use this bullshit as a source again.
