Me when Jews fled Germany. Me when people flee South America. Me when people flee war torn countries. If people (who didn't vote for this) can leave, I hope they do. It hasn't been our country in a long time. Individuals deserve the liberties guaranteed to them by the constitution and if they can no longer find that here and are able to find it elsewhere, they should. There is not enough will here to change things. Throwing yourself at the wall of fascism is a great way to die needlessly. No one should be obligated to die because of the failings of the government they happen to live under. If we had the numbers and could do something, maybe I'd understand your perspective, but we don't have the numbers, and we live in a surveillance state the likes of which history does not have an analogue for. Our government has cameras everywhere and is able to track our every conversation. People here believe this is the will of god. There's no quick fix for that and I don't think people that will be actively hunted down in the meantime have any obligation to stay.

Yea, to my understanding Tesla does not use LiDAR and that's the issue. They just use cameras I think. Other people posted videos in this thread: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IQJL3htsDyQ

I can't be bothered to care/watch anything Tesla related, but apparently the lack of lidar is the thing being tested.

I hope people stand firm about letting republicans deal with their own issues. I have R family that are not welcome in my home. I have D friends that I would gladly let stay with me. I don't think it'll matter, but no quarter for Rs imho. I'm sure the government will find a way to just keep checks going to people registered R, or open places for them, or force dependent status or something, but no one should open their homes to them. If the government is hostile to me, I can at least make my home hostile to them.

As you note, they've never been good for either the economy or farmers and that hasn't stopped them yet. I fear very little will change.

In addition to what the other person said, you don't want to be sabotaging people who are upholding the laws. I don't think they'll be getting work from Trump anytime soon, so who exactly wins if they stay and the just do a worse job defending people or prosecuting people? Maybe if they worked for Rudy Giuliani or something, but they don't.

The entire article is worth a read. I hope people read past the headline because it is a wild ride.

Why can't people just not rape children. Like, just don't do that. Obviously, don't rape anybody, but holy goodness please stop raping children.

I think it's great that the state has opened up the window for these people to find justice, but how is it that the rapists themselves are not being charged? The people and the state should be able to sue the rapists. Also, everyone that didn't report it immediately or helped sweep it under the rug.

Some kid was put in juvie for riding a dirt bike and was repeatedly raped there. When he reported it nothing happened and he was still raped. Absolutely disgusting. What do you even say about that?

I was born here to US citizens and even I'm scared. I have an international flight coming up that was planned forever ago and I am legitimately concerned about reentry. I have a passport and have never had a problem before, but they are detaining whoever they want now. I cannot suggest strongly enough to not come here. Don't support US companies or industries. Support trade with allies and partners that you can rely on and that will support and defend you and democracy.

Don't tempt the US military with a good time. Killing civilians is the only thing a lot of them have field experience doing.

Obviously he's innocent and being framed and therefore should be found innocent, but if he gets out he's going to be watched like a hawk. He'll have a whole team dedicated to his surveillance. Again, super innocent, didn't do it.
