I mean, I love Andor, but I didn't see much Utopia going on in it, which is kind of what makes Star Trek what it is: sci-fi where humans defeated their own demons, and now fly around space being awesome, empathetic and kind, using science and philosophy to help people and solve problems. Andor is about fighting evil space fascism, so almost the opposite of Star Trek really.

That being said, Andor is awesome and everyone should watch it.

So you're too afraid to go to a protest but your "big plans" are so much more radical than going to a protest? M'kay.

In both my experiences, once the "main group" left, there were people more aligned towards.. non "allowed" "methods of liberation".

I can tell you went to neither. You say you can't talk online because it is too dangerous, but also won't go to the concentration of people angry for the same reasons to talk about it. Is your plan to be a lone wolf? Because one asshole with a good drone that wipes out even ideally, like, musk, bezos, zuck, trump, 5 supreme court justices, hegseth, vance, thiel, you still haven't solved it if you were a lone asshole with a lucky drone. The problem is more systemic. Continuing pressure is necessary. Groups. Organization, which begins somewhere.

But the second is talking about abuses against males. If anything, using two words "dismissed, and sacked" one in each paragraph, makes it even more confusing. Felt like it was saying women in senior positions protected women less (dismissed abusers) while protecting men more (sacking abusers). Just say sacked both times.

Almost like getting together with other outraged people, like perhaps at a protest, would be a better place to meet people with whom to discuss those plans? Or do we just want resistance cells to spontaneously generate from the aether without any prior networking?

In a way they are. They spread their nihilistic apathy like a disease.

Probably just being friendly.

The conservative sub is pretty astroturfed actually. There was one point when some servers in Russia went down and basically all their activity disappeared. Also most of the content is like 2 guys who mod the sub.

Have you ever played nuclear throne? That's kinda my preferred pacing in a game, but there aren't many. I'd love a soulslike where combat was that fast and frantic, and bosses are really difficult but also die really fast if you play it right.

so I’m not sure I know what you mean.

I was mostly basing it on videos I've watched. I haven't actually played it. I'd kind of consider any fight that lasts more than 10 minutes to be well into bullet sponge territory though.

Having a stance meter instead of healthbars sounds pretty interesting though, I think I'll check it out.

What ecosystem collapses when removing a single creature? Are you talking about pre-holoscene extinction ecosystems? Or are you talking about modern ecosystems (after most of the original biodiversity has already been obliterated, and "removing one species" is actually thousands down on the list of removals)?
