Is the map a hard requirement? If not there are some r/place clones which should not require much effort.

Do you have a source for Bambu using Marlin? It would mean they violated the GPL since their firmware is closed source afaik.
It looks to me like the nozzle is too close to the bed. This seems to be a common issue with a couple of possible causes. Have you checked if the four screws that hold the hotend to the linear rail are screwed in correctly?
