was happy when I checked r/conservative yesterday (I know I shouldn't check). and practically all the comments were about how they were disappointed, or actually starting to understand that Trump is in the list or protecting his buddies.
However, when I checked today, lots of top comments were peddling a conspiracy theory about how Trump is under threat of the deep state, and if he releases it he and his family will get murdered. There had to be some AstroTurfing injecting conspiracy theories.
When they say Reddit is all bots they're not kidding. Especially the "mainstream" subs.
I'm curious about the psyche of reactionaries. but holy fuck, that was some serious AstroTurfing.
And because they're reactionaries, it will work.

it's distopian seeing the propaganda machinery turn on.
seeing reactionaries having a day to think for themselves, then come to their own ideas and... nope, they just turn on the propaganda machinery, no independent thought.
the russian bots drum up the shit stirring in that sub. theres like some other subs ive seen, donald, republican, newnormal, trueunpopularopinion that popped last year.
it's just so plainly obvious that there is so much AstroTurfing, how dumb can humans be.

and yes the normal politics, news and other subs get astroturfed to an extent.
Anyone who is willing to consider the idea that their Dear Leader isn't the perfect reincarnation of Christ gets banned from there so the mods must have had a field day with that one.
