Yes and for someone who isn't already agreeing with them, they're not that convincing. Some even could look a bit pathetic to them, actually ("make lying immoral again" is a bit ironic considering that politicians of all sides lie more than they breathe; the only difference being that one side makes it their identity.

So in the end you have two similar bunches of people (even though the ones on the right tend to have more ridiculous outfits), arguing about the lack of reason for such a protest (even though the right saying "I don't know" can be seen as an admission), both having a bunch of signs that make a variable amount of sense.

It seems that it definitely doesn't help the cause.

Even if you're myopic and callous enough to think it's fine for masked militia members to kidnap people without due process because of the color of their skin, surely the "diversity = genocide" sign is a clue that the author doesn't think these two groups are equivalent.
