Edit: who the fuck censors 'cock'?! I'm leaving my original comment below because it highlights how unhelpful censoring words is for discussion. The actual word he said was 'cock', not what I guessed - which makes some of what i said below not make sense, but doesn't actually make his statement less transphobic.

What does that last part even mean, in context of his clarifying statement, or 'as a joke'? Maybe I am just not getting it.

“I support all human rights and trans rights are human rights. Live your best life. Use your preferred pronoun.”

“But meet me halfway, [trans] ladies. Lose the cunt. That’s all I’m saying.”

If post-OP trans women had surgery to change their body back to not having a 'cunt' they'd be back to having body dysmorphia, which misunderstands their primary malady. Its also said so frivolously - as though trans bottom-surgery is a minor op you can just change your mind on at whim. It completly undercuts his former comments of support.

As far as I can see the joke is that he doesn't really support trans rights and he's just 'saying the things you have to say now' with a wink to his audience, and then clarifying that he's not really an ally, fuck em lol. That's the 'joke', right?
