Plus after the success of "Michael" I expect Madonna can play hardball. Madonna certainly has had a career on par with all the recent successful musician biopics. The success of "Michael" shows these films are still big money makers.
If they she believes it is a money maker then she would invest the money herself.
She knows it is a risk and wants someone to risk their money for her profit. Capitalism 101. It's how Musk got to be the richest man on Earth.
Regarding musk: yeah no. He is not a self made man. He got there by having a rich family (that got rich by exploiting people in a slave like setting) and then took risks with said capital. By knowing the right people these risks are lower than Madonnas and also the industry is a different one where the rewards are nucu higher than with a movie.
